Journey of Love by Raden Sirait

This book accompanied me on the exciting days during the quarantine of Puteri Indonesia 2011.. I met with the writer, Raden Sirait, long time before he wrote this book. His life is an inspiration and it could already be seen on the first page :

''I can't draw.. I can't make any pattern.. Neither can sew.. But I'm very grateful of the unlimited talents that God gave to me, which is imagining the women wearing Kebaya like angels from heaven...''

These words describe a lot of how his believe system deliver him as an ordinary man which was born just from farmer's parents, can't draw at all, until successfully being a world class designer like now.

This book doesn't just tell the happy stories, but also his struggles to be healthy and sixpack on his 40, and also the ups and downs that he faces along the way.. With a very light and simple way of storytelling, he successfully brought me into his inspiring life! This book puts a smile on my face in exactly one month (I read this book from September 21st till October 21st), and therefore I re-write some of my favourite quotes...

Our soul is never sick, only our mind. If we always think well, everything will go well..

Limit is beautiful. With limits and obstacles, we have strength to make ourselves better and strive to achieve our dreams. Because life is polarative. We won't know about happiness if we never experience sorrow.

If you get used to enjoy the peak of satisfaction, now try to enjoy the peak of sadness, see the result, it's actually exactly the same!

Smile to the world.. And the world will smile back to you..

If we give the best to ourself as the result of loving ourselves, we will be fulfilled with love.. Automatically we will have much love to give to the others..

We need to make our frequency alligned with the universe. First, be sure with our resolutions without any doubt, then do it with vibrations of happiness and love..

Love is very powerful.. It can cure everything. If it's used correctly, it can give a big benefit, and ofcourse free.. Because love is here already within ourselves..

We can benefit from the strength of love inside ourselves. Loving ourselves is a very simple process. Just from looking at each of our body parts and appreciate them with saying 'I love you, thank you' will make a big difference in our life

There is no coincidence in this earth and also in this universe.

Ofcourse we're always given a free will to change the destiny that we've decided before.

In life, we're not always in the happy condition. It always rotates with anxiety and scared feeling. That's called life. But we need to always be grateful with any situations we face. One thing for sure, we need to be responsible and say that whatever happens, is our creation..

Give all to God.. Let all things go.. Go with the flow with the universe..

Be, do, have. Be a designer, do what designers do, and have faith that you'll get what you want as a designer.

Life is beautiful.. If we don't know about sadness, we won't know happiness..

Every soul has the right to have the best chance in this life's adventure.

Polarity will always come in our life. It's just the matter of our conciousness whether we can accept that with gratitude or not

Fulfill yourself with love. Never do anything that makes you unhappy. If you're fulfilled with love, you can't be distracted with anything or anyone anymore, because you are already full like the big O

Now I realize more that in life we can't control everything. Many things happen out of our control. But we have the right to be and to have whatever we want as long as we give all the results to God, wherever, whenever and whatever happens.
