Winner Stands Alone by Paulo Coelho

As usual, I love just how Coelho writes his books. It's full of meaning, deep, beautiful, yet mysterious. This book had accompanied me to wherever I go in these (probably) 6 months, the longest period time I need to read one book! I was forced to finish it after Fei and Exotic Living's producer Mas Rian realized that I'd been reading it for too long. In this book Coelho plays the 4 main characters who catch their dreams to be a couturier, killer, model and actress. Who succeded to reach it at the end?

And some of my fave quotes from this book :

Life has many ways of testing a person's will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen at all once.

Risk everything in the name of chance and keep well away from everything that offers you a world of comfort.

God moves in mysterious ways, and sometimes the path only reveals itself once you start walking it.

Life sometimes separates people so that they can realize how much they mean to each other.

People are never satisfied. If they have a little, they want more. If they have a lot, they still want more. Once they have more, they wish they could be happy with little, but are incapable of making the slightest effort in that direction.

When the soul arrives at the final judgement, God will only ask: ''Did you love while you were alive?''

If you believe in victory, then victory will believe in you.

Talent is a universal gift, but it takes a lot of courage to use it. Don't be afraid to be the best.

The soul suffers when we force it to live superficially. The soul loves all things beautiful and deep.

She'll be great. She showed real feeling in a situation where most people are simply trying to look competent.

In certain professions, talent is quite easy to measure: directors who turn bankruptcy, sportsmen who break records, artist's work who lives for 2 generations.

You can't search out happiness at any price. Begin to see just how generous life has always been to him.

All human beings are different and should take their right to be different to its ultimate consequences.

Everything you know comes from experience accumulated over long years of work. If you wanna be creative, forget that you have all that experience.

Sometimes, God has other plans
